Alejandro “Alex” Hoyos, Partner, serves clients on both litigation and transactional matters in various areas. Alex focuses his litigation practice primarily on complex business, professional liability, condominium, homeowner, ADA, real estate, and creditor-related litigation. Alex’s litigation services also extend to post-judgment execution efforts for and against corporate and individual clients. In addition to litigation, Alex represents corporate and individual clients in a general counsel capacity and on various transactional matters including business contract negotiations and preparation, residential and commercial sale, purchase and lease transactions, and transfers of corporate ownership interests and assets.

Alex is a 1999 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. He is also a member of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, and Cuban American Bar Association. Alex is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern District of Florida.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Alex is fluent in Spanish.  He earned his B.B.A. in international finance and marketing, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 1995 where he was a four-year recipient of the Henry King Stanford Scholarship.  Alex is active in the Cuban American Bar Association and the Belen Alumni Lawyers’ Section.  He also served on the Saint John Neumann Advisory Board and organizational committees for the CureSearch walk held by CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, a charitable organization that funds and supports children’s cancer research and provides information and resources to all those affected by children’s cancer.
