Meghhaa Kumaarr is a member of AG Law's Real Estate, Corporate Law and Litigation Practice Groups.
Born in Pune, India, and raised in Miami, Florida, Ms. Kumaarr is a Miami-Indian at heart. After completing her undergraduate studies in International Finance and Marketing and Philosophy from the University of Miami in 2004, Ms. Kumaarr embarked on a two-year adventure to India as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, where she attained her Masters in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Mumbai) with a specialization in Urban and Rural Community Development. During her time in India, Ms. Mahajan established and implemented business development strategies amongst women’s Self-Help Groups in slum and rural areas of India. Ms. Kumaarr helped these groups obtain microfinancing for their business operations. Additionally, she helped each group create a sustainable model for productivity and growth by doing research on credit-plus services that could be offered based on each group’s industry. After her time in India, Ms. Kumaarr returned to Miami, Florida where she obtained her Juris Doctor from Florida International University in 2011.
Ms. Kumaarr enjoys utilizing her background in finance, marketing, philosophy, and social work in her legal practice. Ms. Kumaarr currently focuses on real estate transactional matters and litigation, corporate transactional matters and litigation (including corporate counsel services to small and mid-sized businesses), residential foreclosure plaintiff’s representation, construction litigation, and homeowner association representation.
During her spare time, Ms. Kumaarr enjoys practicing Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance form), writing fictional children’s stories, playing tennis, singing, and spending time with her family.
