Gustavo Sardiña is an attorney with a diverse practice representing clients involved in litigation before United States District Courts, Florida State Circuit Courts, the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Such representation has included cases related to trademark infringement, real estate disputes, first party property insurance claims, personal injury claims, copyright infringement, counterfeiting, unfair competition, breach of contract, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations, and related causes of action through all stages of litigation.
He has also represented clients in administrative proceedings before United States Customs and Border Protection involving the seizure of property associated with allegations of violation of import and export laws including allegations of failure to comply with the Clean Air Standards Act, alleged infringement of trademarks, and alleged fraudulent statements made on Customs declarations.
As a member of Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund, Mr. Sardiña is also a member of Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund represents clients in residential real estate closings.
He also has extensive experience in trademark and copyright matters including performing trademark searches, providing clearance opinions, filing trademark and copyright applications, advising clients on strategy for creating, maximizing, and protecting intellectual property rights, and providing IP portfolio maintenance services.
Mr. Sardiña is involved with the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund (“HBIF”), is the Chairman of the HBIF’s South Florida Technical Assistance Committee and is a member of the HBIF’s Regional Counsel.
