Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Cuban parents, Alberto H. Orizondo is fluent in Spanish and strongly identifies with his cultural background. He obtained his law degree in 2008 from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois after receiving his B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy in 2005 from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Mr. Orizondo was a four-year recipient of the Henry King Stanford Scholarship and an active member of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. He is a graduate of Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in Miami, Florida and is an active member of the Belen Alumni Lawyer’s Section.
Mr. Orizondo practices in business litigation, real estate litigation, residential and commercial foreclosure litigation, debt collection, creditor representation in bankruptcy proceedings, collection practices defense, homeowner association representation, condominium association representation, and family law. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
